A BEAUTY fan has revealed a simple yet clever way to style your hair, which “looks gorgeous” on everyone.  Matt Newman is a professional hairstylist and often uses his social media accounts to share his top tips and tricks from the industry.  And after seeing a woman do a half up, half down ‘do, he simply had to try and recreate it for himself.  Stitching someone else’s video to his own, he first observed the woman twist her hair before using a clip to finish the look.

AN ULTRA-RARE Cristiano Ronaldo Panini card of the forward making his debut for Sporting Lisbon has sold for a staggering £60,000 at an American auction, according to reports. The card, which has been kept in mint condition since its inception in the 2002-03 season, depicts a fresh-faced young Ronaldo armed with a stern expression ahead of his debut for the Portuguese giants. Panini - the Italian card collectable company - initially produced a vast number of the cards marking Ronaldo's first professional run-out but these days only around 200 are said to still remain, according to the Daily Mail.

A MUM has caused outrage after dressing her nine-year-old white son as a black slave with pretend chains attached to his hands and neck for a Halloween party. It’s claimed Sabrina Flor proudly published the controversial photos of her child on social media on Monday just before he attended the school event, with the caption: “When your son really gets into character. Let’s do it the Brazilian way.” In addition to apparently painting the boy black, Mrs Flor, who lives in Natal, north east Brazil, dressed her son in a white loin cloth, put fetters around his ankles and painted welt marks on his back, as if he had been lashed with a whip.

A SHOEMAKER has created a massive pair of shoes so people can keep socially distanced. Grigore Lup, 55, came up with the idea for the size 75 shoes after seeing people struggle to follow social distancing measures. The shoemaker created the long-nosed leather shoe in his shop in the Transylvanian city of Cluj. Lup said: "You can see it on the street, people are not respecting social distancing rules. “I went to the market to buy seedlings for my garden.

UNCOMPROMISING centre half, Manchester United legend and hard-nosed manager are normally phrases used to best describe Steve Bruce. But the under-fire Newcastle United manager is also a canny and prolific writer, penning three crime thriller books published between 1999 and 2000. Bruce was managing Huddersfield Town, when he wrote the epic trilogy Striker! Sweeper! and Defender! The books, which Bruce himself called "A laughing stock", are semi-autobiographical - the lead character is called Steve Barnes.

A RECORD-BREAKING 140,000 Muslims gathered in Birmingham today to mark the end of Ramadan - the Islamic holy month of fasting. Worshippers from around the world descended on the city’s Small Heath Park for the Eid festivities.
