WWE Monday Night Raw review: The red brand returned to the UK ahead of Survivor Series... and saw a
WWE Raw returned to the UK last night with a fun show at the Manchester Arena – which had huge implications for the Survivor Series on November 18.
Here are seven things we learnt from Raw:

Baron Corbin is on the run from Braun Strowman…
Corbin – accompanied by security guards and with the entire locker room on the ramp –announced that he will captain the Raw Survivor Series team in a managerial role.
He then named the first three members of the team – Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, and Braun Strowman.
Braun was an unexpected choice, after Corbin screwed the Monster Among Men out of the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel (hence the security guards).

Kurt Angle came out to say that he wants to lead the men’s team. So Corbin v Angle was set for later in the night, with the winner getting to captain Raw at Survivor Series. But Strowman charged out and gave chase, smashing his way through Corbin’s security team.
The heels on the ramp stopped Braun before he could catch he cowardly Corbin, who then spent the rest of the show hilariously hiding from Strowman in the backstage area.
… but Corbin will still captain Raw at Survivor Series (thanks to Drew McIntyre)
Bazza eventually fled the arena, putting Drew McIntyre in his place against Kurt Angle.
It was an impressive moment for McIntyre. The “Scottish Psychopath” punished Angle and used his move set against him.
He nailed Kurt with the Angle Slam and then put on the ankle lock for a shock tap-out victory.
Angle was utterly convincing – he looked a broken man after the match.
And what a huge moment for Drew McIntyre. It’s great to see WWE is behind him all the way as a killer monster heel.

Ronda Rousey has cut the promo of her career so far
Ronda and Becky Lynch haven’t traded a single blow yet and already Becky’s influence has raised Ronda’s game to a new level.
Rousey cut a brilliant promo, explaining that she respects Becky – but that Becky shouldn’t mistake respect for weakness.
'STRONG DUDE' Seth Rollins provides health update on Roman Reigns as star battles leukaemia
Ronda said: “While you were in clown college I was training for the Olympics. While you were a stewardess serving snacks, I was in the midst of the most dominant title reign the sport of MMA has ever seen.
“It’s a whole new Becky and I love it… but it’s going to take a lot more than a new attitude to beat me. You might say you’re ‘the man’ but I am the baddest b**ch on the planet.”
It was incredible mic work from Rousey.

AoP are the new Raw Tag Team Champions
Seth Rollins came out wearing three title belts – the Intercontinental Championship around his waist and both tag titles around his neck like a scarf.
He was there to address the tag titles, which have been in limbo since his partner Dean Ambrose betrayed him.
But Baron Corbin appeared on the big screen and told Rollins he’d have to defend the tag belts right then – against the AoP.
Rollins put up a gallant fight, but Akam and Rezar overpowered him with their double sit-down power-bomb for the win.
It’s just a shame the AoP were booked like nobodies for six months instead of getting that monster push as soon as they arrived from NXT.

The new Dean Ambrose is a man of few words
After the match, Ambrose jumped into the ring and stood over the beaten Rollins. Ambrose asked Rollins: “So you want to know why?”
But instead of explaining his actions, he nailed his former Shield brother with Dirty Deeds.
Ambrose’s new heel persona is fantastic. Exactly what both Ambrose and Rollins need to make this a top feud heading into WrestleMania season.

Ruby Riott has broken Natalya’s hart
Before Baron Corbin went on the run, he named Alexa Bliss as captain of the Raw women’s team at Survivor Series.
Alexa’s first call of duty was to book yet another rerun of the Natalya, Sasha Banks and Bayley v Riott Squad. And just when you thought this feud was finished.
During the match, Natalya had Sarah Logan in the Sharpshooter but Ruby Riott grabbed a pair of sunglasses belonging to Natlaya’s father, the legendary Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart.
Natalya begged Ruby not to do it, but Ruby snapped the glasses in half and left Natalya in tears (Snapping those sunglasses is far more riotous than the Riott Squad’s usual shtick of making
a mess backstage).
Sasha and Bayley consoled Natalya at ringside as it went to a no contest. It seems this feud STILL isn’t over.

Nia Jax has turned heel
After Ronda Rousey’s promo, Nia Jax came out to say that after Ronda beats Becky, she’ll be waiting as Ronda’s next challenger.
It only highlighted how much less interesting Nia Jax is than what Ronda has going on with Becky Lynch. But there was a twist still to come as Nia then faced and defeated her supposed best pal Ember Moon.
Following the match, Tamina – who’s been teasing a feud with Nia for weeks – came out and attacked Ember Moon.
Nia surprised everyone by joining Tamina for the beat-down. Nia dropped huge elbows on Ember’s back while Tamina locked her in a Boston Crab.
A heel turn is the right move for Nia, whose babyface character has been dreadfully dull. Nia and Tamina will make a formidable team in the women’s division – especially if WWE gets around to introducing women’s tag titles.
